Overview

As a Funds Financing Analyst, you support the structuring and execution of NAV financing solutions for private equity and private markets funds, collaborating across Trading, Portfolio Management, Compliance, Legal, and other NatWest Markets functions. You help develop new structures and opportunities aligned with risk appetite, focusing on origination, analysis, and execution of complex transactions. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, process improvements, and applying structured lending knowledge to drive value. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position that sits at the intersection of financing, risk management, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support origination, analysis, structuring and execution of Funds Financing transactions
  • Assist in legal documentation, closing, and ongoing portfolio management
  • Maintain and update the structuring pipeline for stakeholders across Private Financing
  • Build partnerships with internal teams (Trading, Sales, Portfolio Management, Legal, Credit risk)
  • Share best practices and drive innovative ideas within the C&I Funds Financing agenda

Key requirements

  • Interest in structured lending products, private markets, and regulation
  • Prior experience in Funds Financing, Structured Financing, Leverage Finance or similar (desirable)
  • Pro-active work approach with strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical skills with financial modeling, Excel (intermediate-advanced), VBA knowledge (preferred)
  • Interest in AI, automation, and technology to improve analysis and workflows
  • Experience in a financial institution and interest in private equity/private markets
