Overview
In this role you will design, build, and deploy cloud-based microservices to support an investor-focused SaaS platform. You will work closely with an engineering team in a collaborative, paired environment to improve architecture, automate processes, and prototype new features. You gain exposure to the trading and asset management space while contributing to scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. This is an entry-level opportunity with a focus on growth, learning, and hands-on impact within a high-profile fintech client.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy microservices in AWS-based cloud environment
- Support other business units by investigating problems, querying data, and building tools
- Collaborate in a paired, collaborative setting to solve complex problems
- Work with the full engineering team to continuously improve architecture and processes
- Prototype new concepts and feature ideas, experimenting with technology
- Strive for automation across processes and workflows
- Review designs and code, and participate in knowledge sharing to ensure continuity
Key requirements
- 2:1 in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or Chemistry
- Strong A Levels (listed)
- Some enterprise software development experience
- Understanding of Java or another Enterprise Language
- Understanding of computing fundamentals, OOP, threading, concurrency, and distributed systems
