Principal Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role you will join the Structures group to lead the design of prestigious projects and help extend our UK service footprint. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, cost-effective structures and strengthen client relationships. You shape technical direction and mentor others while advancing our reputation for innovative, carbon-conscious engineering. Responsibilities

• Lead the design of local and international structural projects
• Develop and maintain client relationships in the UK market
• Collaborate with global structures teams to share expertise
• Provide leadership for the local structural engineering team
• Support business development activities and project delivery
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and promote best practices
• Utilise advanced structural analysis and software for design work
• Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration across multi-project portfolios

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Significant design experience in a multi-disciplinary international consultancy
• Hands-on skills in advanced structural analysis
• Proficiency with Tekla and Tedds
• Experience leading projects and building client relationships
• Experience with various structural materials and forms
• Desirable knowledge of Grasshopper or computational design approaches
