Overview
In this Lead Technical Project Manager role, you steer multiple infrastructure programs from concept to delivery, partnering with engineering, product, and business stakeholders. You’ll apply technical principles to craft solutions while managing resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams. The position centers on delivering high-impact, multi-program initiatives that align with business objectives and advance the firm’s technical capabilities. You’ll use AI-enabled planning and governance to enhance delivery outcomes and drive risk-aware decisions. This is a cross-functional, fast-paced leadership role with a strong emphasis on communication and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of complex infrastructure programs with multi-program plans, including resources, dependencies, and timelines
- Establish portfolio governance with prioritisation, sequencing, milestone management, cross-program reporting
- Decompose complex objectives into actionable tasks across multiple workstreams
- Own portfolio-level risk and issue management with mitigation strategies
- Drive cross-functional alignment with IP product groups, location support, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
- Monitor progress, adjust schedules and resources, and provide status updates and decision-ready insights
- Standardise delivery cadence (RAID, logs, dependencies) and mentor other PMs
- Utilise enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate planning, risk synthesis, and executive updates, with proper data handling
- Promote reuse-first, AI-assisted governance and reporting with human review
Key requirements
- Applied experience in technical program/project management for large-organisation technology projects
- Proactive, autonomous, risk-conscious with adaptability
- Excellent oral and written communication for executive summaries and presentations
- Strong technical fluency in infrastructure platforms and relevant technologies (compute, network, storage, runtime)
- Proven track record managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in agile environments
- Analytical reasoning to break down objectives into tasks and actions
- Experience using AI capabilities in program management with validation of outputs and data sensitivity handling
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans and risks; escalate when uncertain
