Lead Project Manager

Overview

In this Lead Project Manager role, you own the Products Portfolio within the Precision Guidance IPT and drive long-term product plans in the Sensors Business Area. You will lead multi-project delivery, apply governance and problem-solving to meet time, cost and quality targets, and contribute to the Integrated Business Plan and product strategy. You’ll monitor market trends, forecast performance, and support bids to win business, all while coaching a PM team and collaborating across functions. This is a high-impact role at a global leader shaping advanced defence capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver end-to-end complex projects within governance frameworks
• Develop and execute product line strategy and portfolio objectives
• Forecasting and progress reporting (monthly/quarterly/annual)
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the product line
• Support bids and campaigns to increase PWIN across the portfolio
• Collaborate with stakeholders for resource planning
• Provide coaching and mentoring to project management team members

Key requirements

• Leadership and team development experience
• Proven track record leading complex projects/programmes in a multi-product environment
• Strong product line management expertise (roadmap and lifecycle)
• Commercial acumen with P&L responsibility, budgeting and cost control
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Robust risk and issue management experience
• Knowledge of governance/delivery frameworks and regulatory/compliance standards
• Experience in supporting business-winning activities
