Programme Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead complex, multi-workstream programmes in the UK public sector, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and quality. You will build and maintain governance, manage risks, and report to senior stakeholders, acting as the main client contact. You will drive collaboration with internal teams and partners to achieve outcomes and identify opportunities to grow the account. You will operate in fast-paced, high-profile environments, delivering value through strong commercial awareness and relationship management. Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, multi-workstream programmes within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Establish and maintain programme governance, reporting, risk management and dependency management
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as primary contact for programme delivery
• Manage client expectations and maintain high satisfaction throughout the lifecycle
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams, partners and customer organisations to achieve outcomes
• Identify commercial opportunities within existing accounts to support growth and long-term engagement

Key requirements

• Experience delivering large, complex programmes in the UK public sector
• Strong programme delivery credentials with a track record of successful outcomes
• Customer-facing account management or client relationship management experience
• Commercially astute with experience managing programme financials and negotiations
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence at executive and operational levels
• Strong leadership with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience managing risks, dependencies and governance across complex programmes
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-profile environments
