Technical Business Analyst – Fintech

Overview

In this role you will help shape the next wave of functionality for a flagship share platform used by financial services firms. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to translate needs into user stories and detailed technical requirements, guiding agile delivery and ensuring regulatory alignment. You’ll collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and product leadership to drive incremental value for a large user base. This position blends product focus with technical clarity to enable timely releases and robust solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and product teams to define new share platform functionality
• Write effective user stories with acceptance criteria to enable incremental value delivery
• Clarify requirements for engineering teams and assess solution viability
• Provide detailed design and delivery information to support accurate engineering estimates
• Ensure regulatory criteria is considered throughout design
• Stakeholder management and liaison with business and external partners to align expectations
• Participate in project activities and manage interdependencies across client teams
• Support planning and release management in line with product and delivery roadmaps

Key requirements

• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Financial services experience
• Understanding of API-first development
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Strong IT systems understanding
• Ability to work closely with developers
• Excellent written and spoken communication
• Understanding of the development lifecycle
• Experience in small firms
• Knowledge of business process re-engineering methods & principles
