As Senior Construction Manager in Turner & Townsend’s new PMC team in London, you will lead delivery of high-quality projects from inception to completion while nurturing client and stakeholder relationships. You’ll uphold safety, quality, and cost targets, coordinate subcontractors and resources, and drive effective HSQE practices. Responsibilities
- Maintain strong relationships with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Clients, Sub-contractors and project team members
- Foster professional relationships with 3rd party stakeholders and uphold the company’s collaborative reputation
- Ensure safe working practices, regulatory compliance, and timely, on-budget delivery
- Optimize resource use (labour, plant, subcontractors, materials) and align procurement with construction programme
- Oversee appointment of all subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and manage construction phase health and safety plan
- Lead Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) initiatives in collaboration with the HSQE team
- Organise team structure to maximize efficient resource use
- Collaborate with project commercial team to meet the approved cost plan
Key requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
- Excellent technical knowledge of construction procedures
- MCIOB and degree qualified in a related subject
- Up to date knowledge of building and Health and Safety legislation
