Security Operations Lead

Overview

In this role you will own Lendable’s internal SecOps and serve as the technical owner of the external MSSP. You will act as the primary incident responder, shaping security maturity as the company scales. You’ll lead high-stakes investigations, define governance for our security partners, and drive automation to reduce manual toil. You’ll build an internal SecOps function with a clear, strategic roadmap and capability growth. This is a high-impact, builder-level IC role with a path to management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Incident Commander for high-severity security escalations and coordinate cross-functional response efforts
• Act as escalation point for Tier 2/3 technical investigations from the MSSP
• Maintain and evolve the Security Crisis Management plan and run tabletop exercises
• Oversee MDR/MSSP governance, KRIs/KPIs, and provider performance and detection quality
• Own the detection engineering roadmap and ensure high-fidelity log ingestion across assets
• Drive automated remediation workflows and reduce manual tracking
• Develop Threat Intelligence to convert external threats into proactive defences
• Take operational ownership of core tech stack security (EDR, Email Security, DLP, IAM)
• Define the SecOps roadmap, close visibility gaps, and introduce AI-augmented capabilities
• Plan future SecOps team growth to match operational maturity

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in modern Security Operations as Incident Commander or Lead Responder
• Strategic vision for SecOps with emphasis on automation and vendor optimisation
• Cloud-native literacy with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to act as a senior IC with leadership maturity to transition to management
• Experience with automation and scripting to optimise analyst workflows
