Overview

In this role you will join Deloitte’s Tax Technology Consulting team in London, supporting global clients with tax accounting and Pillar Two initiatives. You will work within a multi-disciplinary group to deliver tax accounting judgments, tech-enabled improvements, and ERP-related transformations. The role blends tax expertise with technology to modernise provisioning and reporting. You will develop cross-border client relationships and contribute to a growing global tax accounting platform, with hybrid working and potential secondments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, coordinate and review income tax accounting judgments, Pillar Two assessments, and tax disclosures using various technology tools
  • Develop knowledge of multiple GAAPs from a tax perspective (FRS 102, IFRS, US GAAP)
  • Lead tax accounting advisory projects including acquisition accounting and process improvements
  • Implement tax reporting technology solutions (bespoke Excel models, third-party software, ERP implementations like S/4Hana)
  • Manage diverse teams and foster an inclusive culture
  • Run internal and external tax accounting training
  • Build close relationships with clients to expand TTC offerings
  • Contribute to go-to-market activities such as identifying targets and responding to RFPs

Key requirements

  • Background in corporate tax compliance and/or advisory services
  • Experience delivering corporate tax accounting services to UK and overseas entities under IFRS, FRS 101/102 or US GAAP (preferred) or willingness to learn
  • Interest in technology-enabled tax functions and capability to manage tax accounting technology projects
  • Ability to define, plan, manage and execute projects
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and learn new software quickly
  • Excellent communication; ability to explain complex ideas to nonexperts
  • Strong relationship-building with clients and targets
  • Proactive and adaptable with a willingness to learn new tools
  • Tax accounting under IFRS, FRS 102, US GAAP
  • Pillar Two assessments and tax provisioning
  • Tax reporting technology and data modelling (Excel, third-party tools)
