Lead Logistics Engineer (ILS)

Overview

In this role you will set the ILS approach for large, complex programmes and deliver ILS components across radar, weapon systems and military communications. You will lead technical direction, mentor junior staff and ensure timely delivery within cross‑functional teams. You will work on field support requirements, calibration planning and maintenance demonstrations to underpin customer confidence. This position offers impact by shaping logistics support for national and international opportunities within a growing LMUK programme suite. A strong, hands‑on leadership mindset and ILS delivery excellence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review field support requirements and determine suitable tools and test equipment
• Establish calibration requirements for field systems and maintenance tasks
• Perform maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers
• Review technical handbooks for accuracy and adequacy
• Assist in developing maintenance engineering and logistics support
• Plan and contribute to proposals
• Deliver and manage ILS components for large complex systems programs
• Oversee ILS activities across radar, weapon systems, tactical datalink, RF data, and military communications

Key requirements

• Extensive ILS experience with leadership in ILS activities
• Experience using EAGLE LSAR or similar
• Experience with Technical Publications and Technical Authors
• Experience using Windchill
• Experience with reliability and maintainability data
• Verification and validation of sub-contractor data deliverables
