Overview
As a Risk Manager in Turner & Townsend’s Infrastructure practice, you’ll implement an integrated risk framework across a major capital programme for a London airport. You’ll identify threats, opportunities and issues, quantify risk exposure, and inform investment planning. You’ll drive measurable risk responses and monitor progress against the risk budget. You’ll collaborate with contractors and cross-functional teams to deliver clear risk reporting and proactive risk handling, shaping project outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Implement an integrated risk management framework across a major capital programme
- Identify, assess and prioritise threats, opportunities and issues within sub-programmes
- Maintain visibility of risk triggers for cost profiling and risk budget management
- Develop and monitor management responses that are measurable and track post-mitigation positions
- Produce risk reports to communicate threat/opportunity status
- Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform contingencies
- Assist with contractor risk discussions and views on client-held risks
- Facilitate risk workshops and probabilistic modelling using tools like @risk or PRA
- Monitor overall risk exposure against remaining budget and ensure timely risk retirement or drawdown
- Proactively drive completion of management responses to target positions
- Utilise tools and databases (ARM, Predict, Tableau) for risk data management and reporting
Key requirements
- Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment on large programmes
- Working understanding of integrated risk management (risk, cost, schedule)
- Risk workshop facilitation and threat mitigation skills
- Probabilistic modelling experience (e.g., @risk, PRA) or equivalent
- Proven risk delivery experience on major infrastructure projects/programmes
- APM/IRM risk certification preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Degree in a construction-related subject preferred
- Experience with coordinating risk with contractors and clients
