Investment Analyst

Overview

As an Investment Analyst at MS Amlin, you support daily execution, regulatory compliance, and portfolio monitoring. You will deliver data-driven insights and accurate reporting to the Investment Team, Committee, and Board. The role blends operations, governance, and data visualization to enable informed challenge and effective risk oversight. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements, contributing to the firm’s risk-aware growth.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory reporting for Lloyd’s, Solvency II, ALM, and stress testing requirements
• Internal stakeholder reporting with performance, attribution, risk dashboards, breach monitoring, liquidity analytics, and ESG metrics; develop dashboards and visualizations
• Operational support including day-to-day asset movements, cash flow forecasting, and reconciliations with custodians and systems
• Compliance monitoring to ensure mandates stay within risk, liquidity appetites, and internal policies; support monitoring of external managers

Key requirements

• Experience in an analytical role within financial services, preferably in insurance, with familiarity of Lloyd’s and Solvency II reporting
• Familiarity with risk models, preferably Aladdin and/or Bloomberg PORT
• Strong SQL/Python, Power BI, and Excel skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, or Economics
• Progress toward CFA or IMC preferred
