Overview

As a Java Software Engineer, you will contribute to delivering high-quality Java applications within an Agile/Scrum team. You will engage across the full software lifecycle, from development to testing and deployment, while supporting CI/CD and reliability improvements. You’ll work on digital transformation initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and shape engineering projects. This role offers exposure to complex technology and client-facing delivery, with opportunities to grow technical skills and impact. You will be pivotal in driving robust software and scalable solutions for critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Java applications
  • Write unit, integration and feature tests
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to understand requirements and resolve issues
  • Create and maintain low-level technical designs and documentation
  • Support CI/CD and software delivery activities
  • Debug, profile, and improve application performance and reliability
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities
  • Contribute to digital transformation and broader engineering projects

Key requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and associated technologies
  • Spring Boot
  • Unit testing, test automation and TDD
  • DevOps tooling and CI/CD
  • Debugging, profiling and performance tuning
  • Agile software delivery
  • Experience with Docker or other container technologies (beneficial)
