Overview
As Technical Mobilisation Engineer, you drive due diligence, asset verification and mobilisation for new contracts across a diverse commercial portfolio. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure surveys, condition assessments and maintenance plans enable a safe, compliant and efficient service from day one. You translate technical findings into actionable mobilisation recommendations and uphold standards across M&E assets. This role offers impact by shaping first-day operational readiness and technical governance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive M&E technical surveys across commercial properties
- Identify and verify mechanical and electrical assets; maintain accurate asset registers
- Assess existing maintenance strategies for compliance gaps and service delivery
- Review plant condition, maintenance history, statutory inspections and documentation
- Produce technical survey reports with asset data, lifecycle notes and mobilisation recommendations
- Support development of PPM schedules aligned with SFG20 and client requirements
- Coordinate with operations, clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve survey findings
- Contribute technical input to mobilisation plans, quotations and engineering standards
- Provide guidance to operational teams and site colleagues as needed
- Support ongoing improvement of technical standards, processes and maintenance strategies
Key requirements
- 7+ years in commercial M&E maintenance or facilities management
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, BMS and related plant
- Experience in technical inspections, condition assessments or asset verification surveys
- Knowledge of CAFM systems, PPM, SFG20, CIBSE and statutory compliance
- Strong organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Experience in reviewing technical reports and maintenance documentation
- Ability to manage multiple surveys and competing priorities
