Overview

As a Managing/Senior Quantity Surveyor you will lead commercial management on recladding projects across London and the South East, based mainly at our Waterloo head office with site visits. You will drive profitability, forecasting and contract administration across multiple schemes, including the Bankside House redevelopment, a landmark student residence project. You’ll manage design and procurement processes, mentor the commercial team, and ensure robust reporting to project leadership. This is an opportunity to shape financial performance on high-profile schemes within Bouygues UK’s ambitious portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Post-contract financial forecasting and reporting
  • Financial control of design management
  • Procurement of Subcontractors and Consultants
  • Sub-contract and consultant management
  • Client account management
  • Lead and develop the project surveyors team
  • Lead commercial management across multiple projects and optimise profitability
  • Advise on Client Contract & Value and manage procurement and contract/financial aspects
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities
  • Provide accurate reports and forecasts using company tools and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Production Director and brief the Commercial Director on key issues
  • Recruit, develop and manage commercial team members

Key requirements

  • Senior experience with a main contractor
  • MRICS or MCIOB
  • Experience of managing disputes
  • In-depth technical, legal and commercial knowledge
  • Proactive and confident communicator
  • Experience of working as a QS with a main contractor
  • CPD (continuous professional development)
