Overview
In this role you will lead Contracts Management delivery for large EPC/EPCI projects in the energy transition space, driving strong client and internal stakeholder relationships. You will oversee contracts and claims success, ensuring governance, risk control, and timely delivery across design, procurement, construction and installation phases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on budgets, resources, and compliance, shaping favorable outcomes for major projects. This position offers the opportunity to influence contract strategy and support the company’s drive toward safe, sustainable energy infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with all Contracts Management stakeholders (Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Subcontracts, Fabrication, Construction, Marine Installation, Hook Up and Commissioning, JV/Consortium, QHSE, Legal, Finance, EXCOM, Customer)
- Coordinate workloads and resources with Contracts Director/Senior Contracts Director
- Own and lead compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures; ensure understanding of responsibilities
- Oversee timely completion of mandatory training by team members
- Contribute to annual Business Line budget and department goals/strategy
- Lead contract negotiations with customers/clients
- Support departmental improvement initiatives and systems
- Provide manpower and bid forecasts to Business Line Management
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering, Legal, Commercial, or Quantity Surveying (or related) with 10 years of Contracts Management experience
- 10+ years of CM experience in EPC/EPCI, energy transition, onshore/offshore/subsea facilities
- Proven ability to manage contracts across EPC/EPCI lifecycles (design, procurement, construction, installation)
- Strong negotiation, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in contract management software and MS Office Suite
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
