Cost Manager – Real Estate

Overview

As Commission Manager, you will own end-to-end cost management delivery to meet client objectives. You’ll work within the cost management team to drive financial control, planning and reporting across projects. You will leverage bespoke digital tools to optimise cost processes and support sustainability goals. This role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams and opportunities to influence project economics and value engineering. You will contribute to the NewLeaf strategy and help deliver high-impact programmes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Commission management across feasibility, cost planning, and final cost plan presentation
• Tendering and procurement support including tender analysis and contract documentation
• Contract administration and handling cost variances and change control
• Cost checks and valuations for projects, ensuring timely accuracy
• Producing monthly post-contract cost reports via Cost Control App and client presentations
• Value engineering input and negotiation of final accounts
• Client, Project Manager and consultant liaison throughout project stages
• Lead a cost management team where appropriate
• Utilise The Hive and other tools (Benchmarking App, CostX, Market Rates App, eTender Platform, Cost Control App)
• Implement Embodied Carbon Calculator for carbon footprint reporting
• Support NewLeaf strategy and internal knowledge management
• Marketing and business development to grow opportunities with existing clients
• Identify process improvements and mentor junior staff
• Internal reporting and contributing to process improvements
• Occasional responsibility for teams and resourcing management
• Knowledge management and data capture into internal databases
