Overview

In this role you support partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of commercial real estate matters within a fast-growing Cardiff team. You will handle transactions across acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development, and property finance, contributing to high-quality client service. The position offers hybrid working, clear progression, and exposure to complex, high-value matters, with a collaborative, inclusive culture. You will help maintain precedents and support compliance and client onboarding, shaping the firm’s real estate practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with acquisitions and disposals
  • Manage leasing and landlord/tenant matters
  • Support development and regeneration projects
  • Coordinate property finance transactions
  • Prepare Land Registry applications and correspondence
  • Draft engrossments and transactional documents under supervision
  • Assist with CPSEs and due diligence
  • Support post-completion processes (SDLT/LTT filings, requisitions)
  • Maintain transaction records and priority searches
  • Prepare data room documentation and client reporting
  • Update precedents, checklists and templates
  • Support compliance, conflicts checks and client onboarding

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2 years PQE in commercial real estate
  • Experience at a City, national or strong regional firm
  • Exposure to advising developers, landlords, tenants, investors and occupiers
  • Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, organised and commercially aware approach
  • Willingness to support trainees and junior colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
