Process Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design, implement and optimize processes for oral solid dose production at the Braunton site. You will work within the Process Engineering Team to improve efficiency, safety, cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance. You’ll lead process changes, assess benefits, and oversee implementation while collaborating with maintenance, production, quality and capital projects. The position focuses on Lean/Six Sigma-driven improvements and robust documentation to support ongoing operations. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape manufacturing excellence in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as Process Subject Matter Expert for a manufacturing area
• Identify and design opportunities for process optimisation
• Conduct engineering change management and assess proposed changes
• Contribute to preliminary financial analysis of improvements
• Prioritise improvements based on benefit and oversee implementation
• Ensure processes meet EHS, Quality and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Quality and Capital Project teams to implement equipment and systems
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and raise efficiency
• Contribute to Engineering Documentation, SOPs, validation protocols and user requirement specifications
• Write technical reports

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering
• 3+ years in a Process Engineering role within manufacturing
• Experience in process optimisation
• Experience writing technical reports
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (preferred)
• Experience with cGMP environment (preferred)
• Experience with oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferred)
• Experience with industrial building services (preferred)
