Animator -VFX (All Levels) – ILM London

Overview

Join ILM London as a VFX Animator to bring characters, creatures and objects to life on blockbuster projects. You’ll work at the crossroads of artistry and technology, contributing to high-quality shots on film or episodic content. You’ll collaborate with the team to explore aesthetic solutions, participate in dailies, and help maintain strong production throughput. This hybrid role offers exposure to industry-leading pipelines and a chance to impact memorable visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Animate a series of shots for film/episodic projects with quality and on schedule
• Contribute to aesthetic decisions and provide feedback during dailies
• Maintain productivity and meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work

Key requirements

• Experience in traditional or computer animation
• Proven work on feature films with cel, stopmotion, or computer animation
• Strong foundation in traditional animation principles, acting, and film production
• Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting; proficient with Maya and other supporting software
• Understanding of constraint techniques and basic rigging
• Familiarity with CG production pipelines and ILM processes
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Demo reel, shot breakdown, or equivalent; current resume required
