Senior CDM Consultant/Principal Designer

Overview

In this role you will uphold CDM 2015 requirements as the Principal Designer/CDM Advisor for UK and Ireland projects. You will engage with clients and internal teams to plan, coordinate and monitor pre-construction health and safety activities, ensuring design and construction work complies with regulations. You will support PSDP duties and act as a bridge between designers, principal designers and clients to enable safe, compliant delivery. This position offers site travel, collaboration with cross-functional teams and the opportunity to influence safety culture across projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CDM 2015 Principal Designer and Designer duties are fulfilled
• Support the Principal Designer duties including acting as CDM-Advisor when needed
• Fulfil PSDP duties on Ireland projects when required
• Coordinate with CDM Principal Designers, Clients and Designers on planning, management, and coordination
• Plan and coordinate health and safety in the pre-construction phase
• Advise clients on pre-construction information and information needs for designers and contractors

Key requirements

• Significant construction industry experience with CDM/Health and Safety issues
• Excellent knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant safety legislation (UK & ROI)
• Proven experience delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor roles on large energy or industrial projects
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Incorporated member of IMaPs
• Full and clean driving license
• Eligibility for pre-employment checks
