Overview
In this role you will lead transport planning support for planning applications, spanning small-scale statements to large multi-modal assessments. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary consultancy to shape transport outcomes for developments, analysing data and providing expert comments on site layouts. You’ll work closely with clients and authorities, travel for site visits, and contribute to surveys and technical notes that enable successful planning decisions. This is a hands-on position with impact across projects in a growing Bristol team.

Responsibilities
- Prepare Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Technical Notes and Travel Plans to support planning applications
- Review site layout plans and provide transport/highways comments
- Analyse traffic and speed survey data to calculate visibility splays and produce visibility splay plans in AutoCAD
- Attend Design Team meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and local authority officers
- Coordinate and commission traffic, speed and parking surveys
- Travel for site visits and offsite meetings as needed
Key requirements
- Bachelor or Master in Geography, Transport Planning or Civil Engineering
- minimum 4.5 years’ relevant post graduate work experience
- excellent numeracy, oral communication, and written English skills
- proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- proficient in AutoCAD and AutoTRACK
- full UK driving licence desirable
- knowledge of junction modelling software desirable but not essential
