Backend Software Engineer C# .Net AWS – FinTech

Overview

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will design and build scalable, high-performance solutions using the Microsoft stack, applying SOLID principles. You’ll work within cross-functional Agile teams to deliver on schedule and advocate best practices. You’ll help drive the adoption of AI, including chatbot initiatives, to improve processes. You will report to the CTO, gain visibility, and contribute to a growing, profitable fintech startup with a strong tech focus. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable backend solutions using C#/.NET
• Apply SOLID design principles and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams in two-week sprints
• Ensure timely delivery of software and maintainability
• Drive AI initiatives, exploring chatbots and AI-driven improvements
• Collaborate with the CTO and contribute to strategic tech directions
• Participate in designing and improving system performance and reliability

Key requirements

• Strong C# backend development skills
• Nice-to-have Python coding skills
• Good knowledge of AWS
• Experience with highly scalable systems
• Strong CS fundamentals (OOP, data structures, design patterns)
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT familiarity
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization and planning abilities
• Business acumen and advanced communication/stakeholder management skills
