IT Supplier Manager – 70K

Overview

As IT Supplier Manager, you will oversee a defined portfolio of Tier 1 IT and technology vendors to drive value, performance and accountability. The role sits at the intersection of strategy, governance and hands-on vendor management, shaping how partners are selected, managed and evolved across a complex technology estate. You will work with technology leaders and procurement to ensure suppliers meet commercial, operational and strategic objectives, with visibility on risk and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid, Leeds-based position offering influence over major supplier relationships and contract performance within a large, matrixed organisation.

Responsibilities

• Vendor management of Tier 1 IT & Tech Vendors across multiple business areas
• Own strategic supplier relationships and act as the senior point of escalation
• Manage contract negotiations, renewals and commercial optimisation
• Embed strong governance, performance management and risk controls
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align supplier capability to business need
• Use data and insight to challenge performance and drive continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Experience in IT supplier management roles
• Commercial and contract management expertise
• Confident influencing and challenging senior stakeholders and suppliers
• Comfortable operating in large, matrixed organisations
• Professional certifications (CIPS, IACCM/WCC) advantageous but not essential
