Clean Energy Sr Associate/Managing Associate (5-7 PQE)-Bristol

Overview

In this role you will join a top 100 national law firm to support its expanding Clean Energy practice. You will advise on a broad spectrum of clean energy matters, working with leading specialists across the UK. The position offers exposure to high-profile projects and flexible, hybrid working within a national platform. Responsibilities

• Advise on PPAs, battery optimisation and tolling contracts
• Handle biogas offtake arrangements
• Support clean energy project development, acquisitions and disposals
• Work on CfDs, Capacity Market, REGOs and other low carbon support schemes
• Draft and negotiate energy supply arrangements
• Address Ofgem licensing and regulatory issues
• Manage grid connection, IDNOs and private wire arrangements
• Engage with heat networks and heat supply/offtake contracts

Key requirements

• 5–7 years’ PQE with strong commercial, projects or regulatory experience in clean energy
• Open to transactional lawyers with clean energy focus
• Familiarity with technologies such as solar, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy from waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging or district heating
• Confident managing complex matters and collaborating across teams
• Commercially minded, proactive and keen to contribute to a growing national practice
