Senior AI/ML Consultant, AWS Professional Services

Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of advanced AI/ML solutions for enterprise customers within AWS. You’ll shape technical strategy, mentor peers, and drive AI transformation across client engagements. You’ll operate at the intersection of business challenges and ML outcomes, delivering scalable, production-ready models and architectures. Your work will influence customer AI strategy and contribute to reusable methodologies across the practice. This is a high-impact, client-facing role with opportunities to influence across teams and pre-sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI/ML engagements from strategy to deployment and optimization
• Architect and implement solutions leveraging AWS AI/ML services with emphasis on Generative AI (Bedrock, SageMaker)
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior consultants and promote delivery best practices
• Partner with customers to translate business challenges into measurable ML outcomes and roadmaps
• Drive innovation in applied AI/ML and contribute to reusable methodologies
• Influence customer AI strategy through technical expertise and industry insights
• Lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact AI solutions
• Provide thought leadership in internal and external engagements
• Support pre-sales with technical expertise, scoping reviews and risk assessment

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or professional/military experience
• Technical specialist in design and architecture
• Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
• Experience in designing/implementing serverless distributed solutions
• Proficient in software development with an object-oriented language
• Cloud-based solution experience (AWS or equivalent), with systems, network and OS knowledge
• Experience managing large-scale customer-facing projects
• Experience building complex scalable systems involving predictive models or ML
• Data and ML engineering and cloud-native technologies experience
• Proficiency in Python and building models with DL frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, MXNet)
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
