Principal Operations Process Engineer

Overview

As a Principal Operations Process Engineer, you will lead the delivery of process engineering across large or multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with project goals. You’ll drive operational excellence through Lean-led improvements, KPI-based decisions, and strategic program development. Responsibilities

• Lead functional and strategic improvements using Lean methods to deliver sustainable changes
• Develop strategy for operational excellence (X-matrix, balanced scorecards, KPIs)
• Ensure projects and change processes align with business goals
• Use business KPIs to drive efficiency improvements
• Drive policy, procedure development, and strategic alignment
• Strategically develop programs with 3–5 year tactical plans aligned to KDMs and long-term goals
• Translate tactical plans into operational delivery schedules meeting KDM/KPM/KPI targets
• Forecast business needs and plan work to ensure available capacity
• Manage MPS with recovery plans and reporting across the organization
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the program for engagement and management

Key requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience; at least 3 years at Senior Engineer level
• Ideally 5+ years in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors
• Proven knowledge of process design theories and practices
• Strong ability to produce Technical Files for new products/plants and equipment
• Ability to perform technical tasks and communicate limitations
• Willingness to mentor junior engineers
• Collaborative with all management levels and staff
• Positive problem-solving attitude and teamwork orientation
