Penetration Tester

Overview

In this role you will deliver end-to-end penetration testing engagements across web applications, APIs, infrastructure, networks, cloud and mobile environments. You will work directly with clients, help scope engagements, and present findings to drive security improvements. You will research emerging vulnerabilities and develop testing tools to enhance capabilities. You join a leading cyber security consultancy to shape testing practices and client security outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver penetration tests from scope to reporting and client debrief
• Test across web applications, APIs, infrastructure, networks, cloud and mobile environments
• Produce high-quality technical reports and present findings to clients
• Support engagement scoping, proposals and client relationships
• Research emerging vulnerabilities and develop tools/scripts to enhance testing

Key requirements

• Commercial experience in a penetration testing consultancy or professional services environment
• Strong experience across multiple areas of penetration testing
• Hands-on web/application and API testing experience essential
• Strong Burp Suite experience
• Infrastructure/network penetration testing experience
• Ability to independently manage client engagements
• Strong technical report writing and client-facing communication skills
• Cloud security testing experience
• Red Teaming experience
• Scripting/tool development
