In this role, you support major energy and utility projects by handling property agreements and land rights within a leading global law firm’s Regeneration Development & Infrastructure team. You will work on high-stakes real estate matters across the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Your drafting, negotiation, and due diligence help deliver complex projects for government and regulated clients. Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate property agreements (leases, easements, wayleaves, licences, land acquisition documents)
- Advise on land rights and title issues; conduct due diligence
- Manage land access strategies and negotiate third-party rights/consents
- Contribute to legal project management and ensure efficient delivery within multi-disciplinary project teams
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 3+ years PQE
- Strong experience in commercial real estate law with exposure to utilities, infrastructure, or energy
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills; ability to manage complex transactions and multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of statutory undertaker rights and land law
- Experience working with public sector bodies or regulated industries is highly valued
