In this Senior Engineer role, you lead the development of Subsea XT technologies from concept to delivery, partnering across global teams to translate customer needs into robust products. You’ll drive innovative design, qualification, and system integration, balancing scope, schedule, and budget while shaping future subsea solutions. You’ll mentor engineers, pursue new patents, and explore market trends to keep Baker Hughes at the forefront of energy technology. Responsibilities
- Develop Subsea XT technologies aligned with customer needs and innovative solutions
- Create designs, detailed drawings, BOMs, calculations, and lead qualification and system integration testing
- Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and stakeholder changes
- Lead global teams and collaborate with multiple functions with DFMA focus
- Provide technical guidance, perform peer reviews, and mentor other engineers
- Explore new ideas, pursue patents, and conduct Freedom to Operate analysis
- Stay current with market trends to inform product direction
- Coordinate multiple projects and manage stakeholder conflicts
Key requirements
- Proven design engineering experience for Subsea Production Systems with CAD proficiency
- Deep knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacture principles
- Direct ownership of projects and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Extensive experience with CREO/Pro-E and TeamCenter/PLM
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial/petroleum engineering or equivalent
- Willingness for continuous personal development; Chartered Engineer desirable
