Linux Technical Operations Engineer – High Frequency Trading (remote)

Overview

In this role you will design and implement the firm’s trading infrastructure and hardware, working closely with research teams to enable automated trading systems. You’ll expand the proprietary research platform and support new exchanges and products. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge trading infrastructure in a fast-growing, tech-first environment with global scale. You’ll thrive on solving complex operational and performance challenges and helping the firm maintain reliability and speed in trading operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer and implement the firm’s trading hardware and infrastructure
• Collaborate with research teams to architect, implement and analyze automated trading algorithms
• Expand the proprietary research platform to support new exchanges, products and functionality
• Build and maintain process management and monitoring toolkits leveraging scripting (Python preferred)
• Coordinate and execute firm-wide changes within a global change management framework
• Triage, prioritise and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues from hardware to in-house software
• Contribute to improving operational stability and functionality of trading systems

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of Linux
• Experience building process management and monitoring toolkits with scripting (Python preferred)
• Experience improving operational stability of trading systems
• Experience coordinating firm-wide changes in a global change management framework
• Ability to triage and troubleshoot complex network and systems issues
• Understanding of DNS, HTTP, TCP, UDP networking
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to build trust with trading and technology teams
