Overview
In this Director role, you lead Deloitte’s market‑leading Transaction Management Office on complex ECM and M&A deals. You guide end‑to‑end deal programs, coordinating cross‑functional teams and advising senior clients throughout the lifecycle from mobilization to completion. You shape governance, resourcing, and communications to safeguard value and drive deal success. Responsibilities
- Oversee TMO engagements and lead high-performing teams delivering excellent client service
- Advise on capital markets and M&A transaction execution and insights
- Set up transaction programmes and workstream structures based on learnings from other deals
- Lead timetable, roadmap and plan development with company leads and advisers
- Design programme governance structures and facilitate decision making
- Manage stakeholder relationships across banks, lawyers and Deloitte specialists
- Oversee status, risks, actions, issues and dependencies for transactions
- Draft key transaction documents (e.g., Prospectus, Circular, Investment Memorandum) and coordinate diligence
- Coordinate transaction steering committees, working groups and board materials
- Lead business development, build client relationships and originate opportunities
- Contribute to TMO leadership, drive initiatives and mentor teams
- Oversee engagement management, budgeting and cost tracking
Key requirements
- Programme management experience in complex, high-pressure client environments
- Extensive ECM and M&A transaction experience, ideally in investment banking, corporate advisory, or related fields
- Deep understanding of deal execution stages: preparation, diligence, governance, signing, completion, post‑completion
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex issues for senior audiences
- Proven ability to work with internal/external stakeholders in transactions, capital markets or listed-company settings
- Knowledge of listing rules, disclosure requirements and market practice for major exchanges (London, EMEA, US)
- Financial, accounting and valuation concepts relevant to capital markets and M&A
- Experience with ECM/M&A VDRs and governance controls for large processes
