Senior Field Engineer

Overview

In this role you drive design and BOM creation for client sites, leading cross-functional delivery teams to ensure project quality and adherence to standards. You act as a senior SME on ICT facilities and cabling projects across data centres and multi-site environments, interfacing with clients and partners to deliver on commitments. You’ll shape system design, validate installations, and guide complex rollouts while upholding robust engineering practices. This position offers impact through delivering reliable infrastructure at scale and working with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and BOM development for customer sites
• Coordinate internal delivery teams and partner resources to meet project standards
• Serve as SME and technical lead on data centre and multi-site projects
• Develop LOE estimates, SOWs, and design documentation
• Validate installation, commissioning, and testing of ICT cabling and systems
• Prepare clear technical and non-technical reports and diagrams
• Engage partners and manage budgetary labor/material estimates
• Interface with clients and support PMO in project execution
• Ensure compliance with licensing and regional requirements
• On-site data collection and evaluation for complex rollout projects

Key requirements

• 5+ years in field engineering services for data centres or multi-site environments
• Experience managing quality across full project lifecycle
• Excellent communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and root cause analysis
• English fluency
• Willingness to travel up to 50% regionally
• Ability to support night/weekend cutovers as required
• BICSI – RCDD, DCDC certifications or relevant experience
• Bachelor in Telecommunications, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or related discipline
• Experience interfacing with clients and supervising delivery teams
• Experience with design, installation validation, and defect remediation
