Associate Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will manage the delivery of multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects from concept to construction, aligning with client needs and project constraints. You will plan resources and supervise technical staff while developing design solutions and communicating them to stakeholders. You’ll contribute to winning work and shaping the project pipeline, supported by a London team of engineers. Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, balancing priorities from proposition to construction
• Plan resources and monitor project finances and performance
• Independently investigate and present design solutions, collaborating with clients and stakeholders
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and schedules
• Support work winning efforts to secure project pipeline
• Manage technical staff, plan workloads, and mentor junior team members
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers, and coordinate meetings and CPD events

Key requirements

• Strong technical background in infrastructure design with a track record leading a technical specialism
• Experience in MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage and Civil 3D
• Developing SuDS strategies for complex urban developments
• Member of a relevant professional institution
• Experience in international multidisciplinary project delivery with strong communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel and drive continuous quality improvement
• Experience with flood compensation schemes in undefended high-risk zones is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent written, verbal, and drawn communication skills
• Strong project management skills with ability to prioritise competing demands
