Overview

In this role you will build and deliver AI and data solutions for financial services tax clients, turning complex data into AI-ready assets. You’ll work closely with a diverse team to advance data, automation and AI capabilities that modernise tax compliance and reporting. You’ll engage with client teams, contribute to design and QA, and mentor junior staff while staying current with AI and tax technology trends. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position with a clear Client and EY technology edge.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver AI and data solutions for financial services tax clients, developing data pipelines, models, automations and generative AI use cases under Managers
  • Analyse, cleanse and transform complex, often unstructured tax datasets into AI-ready data
  • Contribute to solution design, testing, documentation and quality assurance to ensure robust outputs
  • Engage with client teams and EY colleagues, communicating findings and recommendations clearly
  • Supervise and support analysts and interns, reviewing their work and sharing knowledge
  • Stay current with developments in AI, data engineering and tax technology, continually developing skills

Key requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience in data, analytics or AI work with interest in tax, technology and transformation
  • Solid hands-on technical skills—SQL and Python, data manipulation/engineering, exposure to generative AI/LLM tools, ML or analytics platforms (Power BI or Alteryx)
  • Experience with low-code applications such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork
  • Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-changing AI and data environment
  • A degree in a numerate, computing, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
