Business Analyst – Investment Management, JIRA

Overview

In this role you will shape requirements and lead the deployment of a best-in-class technology platform for an investment management environment. You will work closely with senior transformation and systems leaders to translate business needs into clear specifications and testable artefacts. You’ll drive cross-functional collaboration in an agile setting, focusing on data continuity and robust product development. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, development leads, business owners and developers through the full SDLC
• Lead the implementation of JIRA
• Analyse business processes to identify improvements and define near- and longer-term solutions
• Create business/functional requirements, UAT plans and test cases
• Document user stories and detailed system concepts across business and non-functional requirements
• Coordinate across internal and external teams to ensure data continuity and application functionality
• Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, demos, retrospectives) and manage dependencies with stakeholders

Key requirements

• 2:1 Computer Science or STEM degree from a Red Brick UK or EU university
• Solid experience of JIRA over multiple years
• Strong understanding of the SDLC
• Experience in Financial Services, ideally asset management
• Strong data and analytics understanding and ability to learn quickly
• Experience with design thinking and agile product development
• 3-5+ years in system/business analysis
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical issues to business stakeholders
• Ability to coordinate teams to resolve complex analytical and technical issues
