Director of Practice and Clinical Services

Overview

In this leadership role, you will steer two busy small-animal sites while remaining hands-on with clinical care. You’ll shape the practice’s strategic direction, uphold high clinical standards, and mentor colleagues across the team. The position blends frontline veterinary work with executive responsibilities to drive growth and culture. You’ll collaborate across sites to deliver excellent client experience and sustained performance. This is an opportunity to influence practice evolution within a supportive, values-led environment.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute strategic direction for the practices across two sites
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure high standards in operations, client experience and business performance
• Guide clinical discussions and support development of less experienced vets and graduates
• Influence growth and evolution of the practice and contribute to continuous improvement and governance
• Collaborate with a friendly team to maintain high-quality patient care with modern equipment

Key requirements

• Senior operational leadership experience in veterinary practice
• Strong clinical expertise with ability to support complex case discussions
• Collaborative, people-focused leadership with mentoring experience
• Ability to drive clinical standards, governance and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Full-time working pattern with 40 hours/week and one in four Saturdays; no out-of-hours
