As a Legal Director in Construction, you will lead complex non-contentious matters for developers, contractors and corporates across Scotland, the UK, and beyond. You’ll draft and negotiate construction contracts, oversee procurement, and coordinate project management on infrastructure, energy, and process plant projects. You’ll join a highly organized, client‑focussed team within a national/international firm, contributing to a growing construction practice. Responsibilities
- Lead non-contentious construction matters for a range of clients (developers, contractors, corporates)
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and related procurement
- Coordinate project management and contract administration across infrastructure, energy and process plant sectors
- Support cross‑border work across Scotland, the wider UK and overseas
- Collaborate with private and public sector clients to shape transaction strategies
- Contribute to the development and growth of the construction practice in the firm
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members
Key requirements
- Senior level experience in transactional construction (Senior Associate, Managing Associate or Legal Director)
