Overview
In this role you will lead the manufacturing team to deliver targets within budget and timescale, while fostering safety, quality, and continuous improvement. You’ll align with Logistics, Maintenance, Engineering and QSHE to prioritise goals and drive performance. You will develop the team, communicate effectively, and oversee short- and long-term delivery, with a focus on reducing waste and improving efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership position at Prysmian’s Wrexham site, offering the chance to shape operations and culture.

Responsibilities
- Lead health, safety and environmental standards to drive toward a zero-harm culture
- Maintain product quality and support quality measures across manufacturing areas
- Improve manufacturing Right First Time (RFT) and address quality issues with corrective actions
- Monitor plant performance via OEE and Labour Efficiency; forecast volume and plan accordingly
- Ensure schedule adherence and on-time customer delivery; drive lean/continuous improvement
- Support inventory management and minimise conversion costs
- Develop the manufacturing team through engagement, training and performance improvement
- Ensure adherence to site standards, conditions and procedures
Key requirements
- Degree level in a technical or engineering discipline (ideally)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; active leadership style
- Problem-solving mindset with methodical planning, analysis, and monitoring
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with effective prioritisation
- Numerate and detail-oriented; comfortable with confidential information
