As a Senior Programme Manager, you lead complex capital programmes across construction environments, translating strategic goals into measurable outcomes. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to drive governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement, ensuring delivery aligns with wider business aims. You act as a trusted advisor to clients and senior stakeholders, shaping decisions and safeguarding programme performance. Responsibilities
- Lead and operationally drive small to medium transformation/real estate programmes and influence large-scale programmes to deliver measurable benefits
- Establish and embed governance and control frameworks for programme rigor and compliance
- Manage stakeholder engagement through a formal plan and clear communications for leadership forums
- Oversee financial processes to monitor and report all programme finances
- Identify and mitigate risks, safeguarding health and safety considerations within programmes
- Coordinate programme logs, reporting, data quality, governance secretariat duties, and effective communication
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture and contribute to internal team development
Key requirements
- Proven programme management experience with tangible client outcomes
- Strong command of current programme frameworks (MSP, PMI) and disciplined governance
- Construction delivery background with progression to programme delivery
- Understanding of construction delivery models, procurement routes (NEC, JCT) and project controls (schedule, cost, risk)
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement with clients and third parties
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements (CDM, Building Safety Act) and regulatory context
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and programme management tools, with openness to digital tools and AI
