Responsibilities

  • Manage high-value, complex programmes in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Apply Product Lifecycle Management concepts to design and development work
  • Create and maintain schedules (WBS, OBS, PBS) and integrated master schedules across projects
  • Coordinate resources and workloads across multiple projects within a programme or portfolio
  • Define, manage and control work packages and subcontract statements of work
  • Execute risk, issue and opportunity management, including schedule and cost risk analysis
  • Utilise ERP systems (e.g., IFS) and report project data to governance requirements
  • Ensure programmes align with business objectives and oversee critical phases
  • Provide strategic direction for multiple projects and managers and manage budgets and resources
  • Produce project plans and technical documents, and provide monthly cost-focused reports
  • Address non-conformances with timely closure plans
  • Occasionally act as delegated authority for programmes when required

Key requirements

  • Five years of project management experience (external candidates)
  • Experience delivering similar projects in engineering/defence/aerospace
  • APM PPQ or actively pursuing, or equivalent professional qualification
  • Strong stakeholder management and conflict/priority management skills
  • Experience with project finance, commercial, quality, supply chain and trade compliance
  • Ability to coach and mentor and engage with customers at senior levels
  • Can-do attitude aligned with Eaton PCS values
  • Demonstrated capability to manage large values (5m+)
