Overview

In this role you will advance a growing construction practice within a respected national law firm in Bath. You will manage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious matters and guide junior colleagues, while nurturing key client relationships. The position emphasizes collaboration across the firm, adherence to standards, and active involvement in BD and client service initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Manage own caseload of non-contentious and contentious construction matters
  • Supervise and delegate work to junior team members
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deliver exceptional client service
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm
  • Uphold firm standards and values
  • Support business development including seminars, networking and pitches
  • Engage in ongoing learning and contribute to training sessions

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with strong experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction
  • Experience supervising junior colleagues
  • Ideally dual qualified in law and construction (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB or similar)
  • Strong interest in business development and client engagement
  • Breadth of experience across construction and infrastructure
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage a busy workload
