Overview
As the da Vinci Key Customer Manager, you drive the growth of the installed base of da Vinci Surgical Systems within strategic accounts. You lead capital sales, coordinate with clinical and capital teams, and expand the clinical program footprint to boost procedure volumes. You collaborate across internal stakeholders and with customers to unlock access, launch new products, and shape regional ICS strategies. This role centers on high-impact account leadership within a pioneering, mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for capital activities within assigned accounts
- Drive system placements and expand the install base through collaboration with capital and clinical teams
- Grow the capital pipeline beyond current field activities
- Remove access barriers to expand the clinical business with customers
- Develop clinical programs and robotics steering group meetings
- Quantify the impact of da Vinci with clinical teams and customers
- Assist Sales Directors with contract and sales negotiations at strategic hospitals
- Accelerate near- and long-term system pipeline across accounts
- Develop and implement strategies for early-stage new product launches
- Implement customer alignment strategies and training curriculums for academic accounts
- Coordinate with Government affairs, Media, MACA, GAVE, Clinical affairs, and ICS teams
- Demonstrate leadership and influence, fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Plan and participate in executive development activities and industry roundtables
- Manage key surgeon/customer relationships and build KOL networks
- Provide product information and demonstrations to clients
- Participate in weekly and quarterly sales planning; manage expenses within budget
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7+ years in medical device sales or related field
- 2+ years of influence or direct sales management experience
- Capital sales experience a plus
- Proven track record in high performance and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong account management and value-selling capabilities
- Understanding of UK & Ireland healthcare landscape and networks
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English; computer literacy
- Ability to travel up to 80%
