Overview
As Group Accountant you will support the Divisional Director of Group Finance by producing consolidated financial statements and detailed monthly reporting. You will help monitor group controls, support tax and treasury activities, and liaise with auditors across an international, multi-divisional group. This role offers exposure to IFRS reporting, M&A-related finance work, and ongoing process improvements within the group’s finance function. You will work closely with legal entity controllers and cross-functional teams to ensure robust financial governance and timely financial insight.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly consolidated Financial Statements for the group
- Produce supporting analysis and commentary on key balance sheet and cash items
- Support group tax rate forecast and financial reporting modelling
- Assist with group annual and half-year reports
- Liaise with auditors and stakeholders on group reporting enquiries
- Monitor, develop and document group financial procedures
- Support group level reviews of material entity reporting and statutory accounts
- Liaise with legal entity controllers on financial, cashflow, risk and control reporting
- Provide financial and project support on treasury, M&A, due diligence, property transactions, reorganisations, entity rationalisation and tax enquiries
- Prepare group cashflow forecast
- Assist with technical developments
- Perform ad hoc duties as required
Key requirements
- Group Accountant ACA or ACCA ideally 3 – 5 years qualified
- Experience of IFRS reporting in a group financial accounting or audit role for an international (ideally multi-divisional) listed organization
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience of Workday would be advantageous
