Overview

In this VP-level role within Wells Fargo’s Asset Based Lending team, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing client relationships secured by diverse assets. You will partner with coverage teams, collateral analysts, and senior management to assess risk, structure facilities, and oversee transitions from underwriting to live borrower status. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, monitor credit risk, and ensure compliant, timely credit and reporting processes. The opportunity combines relationship leadership with strategic portfolio management to support customers’ financial objectives in a disciplined risk framework. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients and keep coverage teams informed
  • Coordinate transitions of new clients from underwriting to live borrower stage
  • Support operational setup and liaise with clients and banks
  • Identify risks early and monitor information to prevent losses
  • Collaborate with collateral analysts to ensure accurate risk recording and management
  • Prepare credit write-ups for facility amendments and oversee documentation implementation
  • Maintain portfolio ratings and reporting requirements
  • Independently analyze client portfolios for cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and collateral factors for reviews and underwriting memoranda
  • Partner with coverage teams to identify and execute opportunities for modifications, renewals, and refinancings
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and manage a portfolio with regular reviews and problem loan resolutions
  • Collaborate with peers and managers on large-scale planning related to product objectives
  • Mentor less experienced team members

Key requirements

  • Experience in secured or specialized lending relationship management or portfolio management
  • Strong financial skills and ability to identify key financial trends
  • Client-facing experience in banking/financial services or professional services
  • Exposure to UK loan agreements and the UK lending framework
