Overview

In this role you will deepen shareholder engagement across JPMAM’s investment trusts, driving growth by expanding the investor base and coordinating cross-functional activity in the UK. You will work closely with Client Directors, marketing, and sell-side brokers to support IPOs, board interactions, and cross-selling within the trust range. The position centers on building durable relationships with existing holders while attracting new institutional, pension, and wealth management clients, including regional UK activity. Responsibilities

  • Develop and deepen relationships with current investment trust holders across the UK
  • Identify and engage new investors (institutional, pension funds, wealth management) to broaden shareholder base
  • Coordinate and support new investment trust IPOs
  • Inform shareholders about investments and cross-sell other funds
  • Collaborate with Client Directors on trust developments, register management, discount management, and growth opportunities
  • Record activity and follow-ups in SEP
  • Provide written feedback on investments for quarterly board reporting
  • Present to Boards of Directors on feedback and sales strategy as required
  • Own specific Investment Company Boards and deliver feedback and sales plans at meetings
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR to attract retail investors
  • Develop relationships with sell-side brokers to target opportunities with professional investors

Key requirements

  • Experience in investment fund/investment company sales
  • Existing relationships with UK investment trust buyers
  • Professional qualification such as IMC
  • Strong client relationship and activity planning skills
  • Interest and knowledge of global economies and stock markets
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to operate at all seniority levels
  • Organised self-starter with good time management
  • Conscientious team player
  • Willingness to travel and spend significant time away from office
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements and fitness/propriety processes
