Senior Design Manager – Architecture Job in Farringdon, London – DOE

Overview

In this role you lead major architectural projects within data centre, high-tech and industrial sectors from concept to completion. You’ll shape strategic design direction, steer planning and programme delivery, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams while mentoring project groups. You’ll engage clients and drive consistent design quality across complex commissions, with hybrid working and strong leadership at the core.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex architectural projects from design to completion
• Provide strategic direction on planning, programme delivery, and design management
• Manage client liaison with clear communication throughout design and delivery
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including clients, consultants and contractors
• Mentor project teams and allocate resources across multiple commissions
• Ensure consistent design quality and delivery standards across data centre, high-tech and industrial projects
• Influence delivery strategies and maintain coordination between architectural and multidisciplinary requirements

Key requirements

• Senior-level leadership experience in design management
• Proven ability to coordinate across clients, consultants and contractors
• Experience mentoring architectural project teams and leading multiple commissions
• Strong resource management for allocating team capacity
• Experience providing strategic direction across planning, programme delivery and design coordination
• Experience leading major architectural projects in data centre, high-tech or industrial environments
• Strong client liaison and clear communication across multidisciplinary teams
• Revit experience advantageous but not essential
