Staff Testing Engineer

Overview

In this role you drive the quality and reliability of Riverlane’s Deltaflow QEC stack, bridging hardware and software to ensure robust deployment. You define test strategies, elevate testing practices, and integrate them deeply into CI and regression workflows. You mentor junior engineers, shape how quality is built in, and collaborate with verification teams to close gaps. This position offers impact in a fast-growing, technically deep environment tackling fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Responsibilities

• Define and own test strategies for hardware and software quality
• Convert testing insights into documentation and team learnings
• Advance testing frameworks and integrate them into CI and regression workflows
• Collaborate with verification and validation teams to uncover bugs and refine flows
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to ensure depth and rigor in testing

Key requirements

• Experience in writing test plans
• Proficiency in Python 3.x
• Expertise in testing automation (GitHub CI preferred)
• Proven experience testing complex hardware (FPGA/ASIC) and software systems
