Contracts Manager

Overview

As Contracts Manager in Crawley, you will lead the commercial management of high-value contracts and bids across the full lifecycle, from capture to closure, within the A2IS team. You will build strong customer relationships with organisations including the UK MoD and international partners, ensuring commercial strategy is embedded across delivery. You will identify and manage commercial risk while guiding multidisciplinary teams to successful outcomes. This role offers growth in a dynamic environment where your commercial expertise shapes critical defence and space programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of contracts and bids across the full lifecycle
• Establish and maintain strong customer commercial relationships
• Draft, review, assess and negotiate contracts, proposals, amendments, orders and terms
• Own contractual baselines and change management
• Identify, assess and manage commercial risk and provide guidance to bid and project teams

Key requirements

• Proven experience in contract management across pre-award and post-award phases
• Strong contract, letter and proposal drafting and assessment skills
• Attention to detail in identifying contractual, commercial and compliance issues
• Commercial awareness including risk, liability, and pricing
• Collaborative team player and effective communicator with stakeholders
